Membership & Access
Welcome to the digital home of Ottawa Archers, the premier outdoor archery destination in the National Capital Region. Located in the scenic landscape of Richmond, Ontario, our club provides a welcoming and relaxed environment for archers of all disciplines and skill levels.
Our Facilities
We take pride in offering a diverse range of shooting environments, meticulously maintained to ensure the best experience for our members.
1. Target Archery Field
Our Olympic-standard target field is the perfect place for those looking to master precision. All distances are measured in meters, following international World Archery standards.
Distances: 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m, 60m, and 70m.
Best For: Competitive training, fine-tuning your form, and preparing for tournaments.
2. Practice Target Butts
Located conveniently at the entrance to our wooded trails, the practice butts are the heart of the range for many of our members. Distances here are measured in yards to accommodate a variety of sighting needs.
Distances: 20 to 60 yards.
Best For: Sighting in your bow, warming up, or focusing on high-repetition form work.
3. Wooded 3D Archery Course
Step off the range and into the forest for a true archery adventure. Our 3D course features 17 unique lanes integrated into the natural wooded terrain.
The Challenge: Navigate different angles, elevations, and lighting conditions.
The Targets: Shoot at life-sized 3D targets including deer, cougar, caribou, bear, wolves, and more.
Fresh Experience: We rotate and switch out our targets several times a year to keep the course challenging for regular shooters.
Ottawa Archers is a volunteer based, community-oriented, self-managed club. We welcome archers of all ages, though we ask that youth members always be accompanied by an adult.
Location: 4075 Twin Elm Rd, Richmond, ON K0A 2Z0 (Access and parking through the Twin Elm Rugby Club).
Hours: Members enjoy sunrise-to-sunset access to our outdoor facilities year round.
Requirements: All members must hold valid liability insurance (OAA or OFAH) and, when at the range, be able to prove, when requested, that they are a active member. Go to main menu > Members to see active member options.
