2027 ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a yearly meeting where members of a not-for-profit review the organization’s activities, finances, and plans. The AGM supports good governance by ensuring transparency, accountability, and member involvement in decision-making.
 
Key Components of the AGM:
Approval of Financial Statements: The treasurer presents the financial results for the previous fiscal year, which members vote to accept.
Election of the Executive: Members elect new board members (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer) or re-elect existing ones.
Progress Reports: The board highlights achievements, tournament results, and activities from the past 12 months.
Strategic Planning: Discussion of upcoming plans, such as tournament hosting, facility improvements, or rule changes.
Bylaw Changes: Voting on amendments to the association’s constitution or bylaws. 
Quorum: A minimum number of members must be present to make decisions legally binding.
 
Importance of attending AGMs
